eSYS Development Engaged to Estimate the Costs of Australian Food and Wine fraud in Asia
  The Department of Primary Industries and Regions South Australia (PIRSA) and Food Innovation Australia Ltd (FIAL) have funded eSYS Development to undertake a study into the potential direct and indirect costs of Australian food and wine fraud in Asia. Food and wine fraud is estimated to cost over $40 billion globally and is a direct threat to ‘Brand Australia’. Without greater understanding of the direct and indirect costs to Australia food and wine producers a national effort to protect our produce overseas is unlikely to be funded
